ZT Will Support Ethereum London Upgrade

Dear ZT users,

At block height 12,965,000, or approximately 2021-08-05 11:55 (UTC), the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain is scheduled to undergo the London Hard Fork.

The London hard fork may generate a new forked coin. ZT will support the upgrade with the following arrangements for protecting users' assets by reducing trading risks brought by market volatility during the hard fork:

 

1. ETH Deposits & Withdrawals

ZT will suspend ETH and ERC-20 tokens deposits and withdrawals at approximately 2021-08-05 10:00 (UTC). Please ensure that you leave sufficient time for your ETH and ERC-20 tokens transfers to be fully processed prior to the above time.

 

2. Trading of ETH and related assets will not be affected 

The assets of ETH and ERC20-based tokens and their spot trading will not be affected during the hard fork. As the hard fork may come with dramatic price fluctuations, please make prudent, informed decisions based on your own risk appetite.

 

3. The Likely Conditions after Hard Fork

  • No new token is created. ZT will then resume ETH and ERC-20 tokens deposits and withdrawals as soon as possible. A further announcement will be posted.
  • New forked coin after the hard fork. ZT will distribute ETH tokens on the chain that completes more work to users. We will take a snapshot of users' ETH holdings at the block height of 12,965,000, and distribute holding rewards to users proportionally based on the snapshot data. 

Please Note: 

  • Unconfirmed ETH deposits, pending ETH withdrawals will not be counted in user snapshot balances.
  • The holding rewards will be distributed to users’ Exchange accounts. Users will be notified in a further announcement after the completion of the reward distribution.
  • A further announcement will be made regarding the timing of deposits and withdrawals resuming, as well as further information about the ETH chain split that may affect the above.
